Henry Moenning, c. 1863. Brass,
with three string actuated rotary valves. It has
a bell diameter of 4 1/2" and is in the key of F (not Eb). This horn is
identical to the 2 French Horns in the 1863 West Point Band. A picture of
the band from the 1863 Yearbook is included below. |
