Manufactured by John F. Stratton, New York, ca
1865-1870. Brass with 3 string actuated rotary valves.
The horn is 51" in length and the Bell diameter is 10 1/4". A shield on the
side of the horn just before the Bell Flare states "John F. Stratton
New York". This horn has a very "tight" set of valves that do not show
a lot of wear. It plays "high pitch" and is a very easy playing horn. It was
restored by Bill Deiss. |
