Manufactured by D.C. Hall, 1862. Nickel Silver,
with four (4) Allen Patent string rotary valves. Any instrument signed by D.
(David) C. Hall was made in 1862. This is the only year that Hall was not in
partnership with anyone else. It is 53" long, and has
a bell diameter of 11 1/4". On the side of the bell just before the
flare is engraved "Manufactured by D. C. Hall Boston Mass". The 4th Valve is
played with the Left Hand and the leaver faces the left just below the three
regular valves. |
