Kummer & Schetelich

Around 1860, a workshop in Baltimore was established by Charles W. Kummer (born in Saxony 1819/1820, died Baltimore 1899/1900) and his nephew, William Schetelich (born William Schetelig 1832 in Neukirchen, died Baltimore 1875). A brother, August Kummer (born in Saxony 1827, died Baltimore 1894/1895), and his son August Kummer, Jr. (born 1841, died 1918), were also active in the firm. The firm's address, which sold Brass and Woodwind instruments from 1860 - 1899, was 81 North Front St., Baltimore, MD.
